ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Joanna Scott, the girl behind the lens. I am a happy wife, dog mum to two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels’, and a professional photographer since 2011, but have loved it for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a father who also had a huge passion for photography and who has influenced and supported me throughout my career. Inspired by the essence of a person, I strive to create natural, authentic images that captures the unique beauty of each moment.

I strive for my personal style to be a unique blend of art and photojournalism, be modern but timeless, and above all look natural. I love photographing weddings and thrive on the excitement, emotion and enjoyment of the day. I am always looking for the golden light, using dramatic lines and contrasting backgrounds. Those unforgettable memories captured in one single moment, frozen in time. Every picture has a story to tell, and I’m here to capture yours.

As a true professional I adapt and flow with any event that may happen on the day, including bad weather. Wet weather can also be a blessing as the rain really brings out the colours in the landscape and can provide some amazing reflections. It never dampens the day!

Yes, of course! It’s fantastic to shoot in new locations. Any weddings over a 30 mile radius of the postcode SN12 will require an additional travel fee of £0.45p per mile plus any overnight stays. For destination weddings, I do ask that you cover my travel expenses.

I use two professional digital cameras and lenses from Sony and Sigma. I always carry both backup cameras and lenses as well as extra memory cards, flashes, batteries, etc. My equipment is regularly maintained and updated all to ensure you receive stunning photographs.

One of the great things about using my service is that I have other photographer contacts who have a deep talent. I will try to arrange a replacement prior to cancellation and will offer you a full refund of any money paid. I’m here to take the stress out of your wedding day and you can rely on me 100%.

Some dates and months are more popular than others, so it’s best to book as far ahead as possible to avoid disappointment.

A deposit of £200 and a signed photography contract is required in order to get your wedding day on the calendar. Two weeks prior to your wedding, the remaining balance for the agreed package amount is due.

It’s definitely appreciated, but not a requirement. A fed photographer is a happy photographer and helps me recharge for the rest of the reception.
